TAG Heuer is proud to present the Aquaracer Henrik Lundqvist Special Edition

Today, during an event held at the TAG Heuer dealer Jarl Sandin in Gothenburg, the swiss watchmaker was very proud to present the Aquaracer Henrik Lundqvist special and limited edition, in the presence of Henrik himself.

Henrik Lundqvist -  also known as “King Henrik” – is an Olympic gold medalist, goalie for New York Ranger, the Swedish National team and a National Hero. Before joining the Rangers, Lundqvist played for Frölunda HC, or « Frölunda Indians » in the Swedish Elitserien. During his years in Sweden, he developed into the league's finest goaltender, winning the « Honken Trophy » three consecutive seasons; 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2005, he also won two of the most prestigious awards in Swedish ice hockey, the Golden Puck and the Golden Helmet. In the 2000 NHL entry draft, The New York Rangers selected Henrik as the 205th overall. Lundqvist made his NHL debut on October 8, 2005, a 3-2 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils. Despite the loss; he stopped 24 of 27 shots. Shortly after his debut, he recorded his first NHL win vs. the same Devils team.

Henrik became an ambassador for TAG Heuer during 2016 spreading the Swiss watchmakers legendary message #DontCrackUnderPressure. With his fighting spirit on and off the ice, he is a true match for the motto.

The Henrik Lundqvist Aquaracer will be limited in 205 pieces, referring to the number of the pick in the draft when he got elected for New York Rangers and will only be available in Sweden and in USA. The watch has a 43mm brushed steel case with a blue aluminum unidirectional turning bezel with the 20 minutes highlighted in red. On the blue dial Henrik’s logo has been applied at nine o’clock which is a crown with the number 30 inside, referring to his number in the New York Rangers. On the back case, Henriks signature and wording “Limited edition XXX/205” are engraved. The watch is available with a brushed steel bracelet for a sporty and elegant look.

During the event in Gothenburg - which is the city where Henrik grew up but also where he played for Frölunda HC before being drafted for the NHL – guests were able to meet with the local hero and to get to know more about the offer of TAG Heuer and take a closer look at the Henrik Lundqvist Limited Edition Aquaracer which will be opening for pre-order at that day.
