Famous for its bold, innovative and avant-garde spirit, Swiss avant-garde watchmaker TAG Heuer leads the trend once again by opening a new TAG Heuer boutique at Studio City, Macau. A grand opening ceremony was held on 20^th February 2016 in which guests and celebrities were invited to celebrate this spectacular moment together. On the very same day, TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch made its debut at this electrifying entertainment hub.

Elegantly decorated, the new TAG Heuer boutique resides at Studio City, Macau, showcasing TAG Heuer Carrera, Aquaracer and TAG Heuer Formula 1, and for the first time in Macau, TAG Heuer Connected on display at the new store.

Longing to have a glimpse of TAG Heuer Connected, the guests arrived eagerly at the brand new boutique in the afternoon. Among the guests arriving in bliss are the officiating guests Mr. Leo Poon, General Manager of Greater China, TAG Heuer, Mr. Peter Leung, Founder of Wonderland Watch Group, and famous singer Mr. Alex Lam. 

Mr. Alex Lam said “I am thrilled here today to be part of this special occasion. I appreciate TAG Heuer’s motto ‘Don’t crack under pressure’ as much as I appreciate their watches. It’s the same philosophy that I adhere to in my life that has driven me to move forward even under the most difficult situations.”

Mr. Leo Poon, Mr. Peter Leung, and Mr. Alex Lam then officiated a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Soon after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the four guests lifted open the curtain to unveil to Macau the TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch.

The ceremony was concluded with a toasting and a group photo to celebrate the Grand Opening of the boutique and commemorate the turning of a new page in Macau’s history of wristwatch retailing.

Lastly, to celebrate TAG Heuer’s motto #DontCrackUnderPressure, the guests were invited to move their steps to the Wall Challenge to reveal their sports talents. Mr. Leo Poon couldn’t wait to volunteer to be the first to take up the challenge. He displayed his perfect athlete skill by shooting basketball, baseball, tennis and golf into the targets respectively while the crowd cheered for him. After seeing Mr. Poon’s performance, Mr. Alex Lam paid extra attention at his trials. By giving his best, Mr. Lam finally earned a great amount of points and a huge applause. 

The shot from them drew a perfect completion to the event. Mr. Leo Poon remarked, “TAG Heuer boutique at Studio City, Macau is our second boutique in the region. It is a delight to see that our brand and products are well received in Macau. We will stay true to our philosophy and push forward the trend, bringing cutting-edge technology and latest design to this amazing city.”
